Frequently Asked Questions
What should we bring?
Please bring your pup, their ID tags, leash, food, and any medications they need. We’ve got extra bowls, beds, and toys here, so no need to pack those unless your dog has a favorite. If your pup uses a crate, be sure to bring that too. You're also welcome to bring toys or personal items—just keep in mind that there are other dogs around. We recommend items that are washable and durable (plush toys are fun but often don’t survive the group play!).
Occasionally, we may ask you to come to my mom’s backyard nearby—if that’s the case, we’ll reach out ahead of time. Otherwise, plan to head to our townhome. When you arrive, please text us instead of ringing the doorbell—it helps keep the pups calm and quiet!
Where do drop-offs and pick-ups happen? What’s the process?
Drop-offs and pick-ups usually happen at our home: 4769 Hatfield Walkway #3, San Jose, CA 95124

What do you do if it rains or there's a heat wave?
We still go out in the rain! We just stick to trails with tree cover or areas with overhangs. During hot summer days, we like to take field trips—either up north toward San Francisco or down south to Santa Cruz—so the pups can enjoy cooler temps while still getting their exercise.
What happens if there’s an accident or a dog gets hurt?
We keep a first-aid kid in the car, on-site and with us in a backpack. Fox is also dog-CPR-certified and carries pet-care insurance. If additional urgent attention is needed, the SAGE 24-hour pet hospital is a roughly 5-minute drive away. In all cases, we will attempt to contact you right away and keep you up to date on the condition of your dog(s).
What sort of security precautions do you take on-premises?
Our space is secured by a professionally monitored security system with sensors at all points of entry and additional door reinforcements. We also have a doggy gate inside that prevents opportunistic escape attempts!
